Difference between JEE-MAINS AND JEE-ADVANCED

JEE-MAINS is the qualifying examination for the admissions in the National Institute of Technologies (NITs), Indian Institute of Information Technologies (IIITs), and Central Footwear Institute Technologies (CFITs). It is also a qualifying examination of admission into Indian Institute of Technologies (IITs). Whereas JEE-ADVANCED is solely used for the admission for Indian Institute of Technologies. Eligibility criteria: The eligibility criteria for JEE-Mains was 60% in the subjects of Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry, but it is relaxed to a pass in the above subjects due to the ongoing covid-19 situations.                           The average package of IITians’ from the top IITs’ usually ranges from 10Lakhs to 20Lakhs whereas in the other IITs’ it ranges from 5Lakhs to 10Lakhs. The highest package will be provided to the students of top IITs’ from the top International companies.   The Top IITs’: The top IITs’ are IIT Madras, IIT Delhi, IIT Bombay, IIT Kanpur, IIT Guwahati and IIT Roorkee. These IITs’ offer the highest packages to their students. These IITs’ rank in the top 10 list in the NIRF ranking. The top international companies visit these IITs’ to offer packages over crores. The placement records of last year (2019-2020) say that the highest package offered was 1.54 crores from IIT Roorkee and IIT Kanpur stands second with 1.5 crores.
